PURPOSE:To obtain the titled band exhibiting excellent vermin-controlling effect and used e.g. by winding around near the root of a tree liable to be parasitized with vermin, by coating a surface of a specific band substrate with a layer of a mixture of a vermin-controlling agent and a specific prepolymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective vermin-controlling band is produced by applying (A) a coating film of a pasty mixture obtained by uniformly mixing (A1) a vermin-controlling agent such as amide-type repellent and (A2) a diisocyanate prepolymer containing ether bond of a segment chain of formula I (m is 3-5; n is 10-25) having a molecular weight of 700-2,000 or containing ester bond of a segment chain of formula II having a molecular weight of 1,200-2,500 to (B) a surface of a band substrate made of a photo-degradable synthetic resin produced by compounding and kneading a 1,2-polybutadiene resin with an inorganic filler and a photo-sensitizer and forming to a band or sheet with an extruder, calender, etc. The removal of the band from the tree is unnecessary or can be extremely easily preformed. The vermin-controlling effect lasts long by the slowly releasing effect of the vermin-controlling agent.
