PURPOSE:To enable a record to be reproduced through using an inexpensive light source by providing a recording layer constituted of an organic coloring matter film comprising a naphthalocyanine compound represented by a specified general formula and having a stable-type crystal structure, on a base. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer 3 constituted of an organic coloring matter film comprising at least one naphthalocyanine compound of formula I [wherein M is a group IIIA, IVA or IVB metal, X, Z are oxygen or a halogen, Y is a halogen or OR' (wherein R' is an up to 6C alkyl, aryl or acyl), and m is an integer of 0-4] having a stable-type crystal structure or derivative thereof is provided on a base 2 to produce an optical information recording material. The recording material can be used for reproducing a record through using a compact and relatively inexpensive light source such as a semiconductor laser. |
