PURPOSE:To enable good printing to be carried out by a method wherein a surface of a hygroscopic printing liquid in a printing liquid cell is so constructed as to be covered by a dry gas in a printer using the hygroscopic printing liquid. CONSTITUTION:A surface of polyimide resin 9 in a printing liquid cell 10 is so constructed as to be covered by dry air 10 in a printer which uses, for instance, polyimide resin 9 as a hygroscopic printing liquid. Since deterioration due to moisture absorption of polyimide resin 9 can be prevented, the polyimide resin 9 can be always kept under a state suitable for printing, and good printing can be carried out. Especially in the case where a surface protective film of polyimide resin 9 is formed by printing on a semiconductor integrated circuit element, the viscosity of polyimide resin stored in a printing liquid cell 10 is changed by moisture absorption, or otherwise its hardening can be prevented. Then, a surface preventive film of a required pattern can be simply formed. |
