<p>PURPOSE:To get a large quantity of root of a plant belonging Bupleurum genus, in a short time in high efficiency, by transplanting the root of a plant of Bupleurum genus in a medium containing a plant growth regulating substance such as indoleacetic acid and alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid and culturing the root in the medium. CONSTITUTION:Root of a plant belonging to Bupleurum genus is transplanted and cultured in a medium prepared by adding at least one plant growth regulating substance selected from indoleacetic acid, alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid and indolebutyric acid or a medium added with at least one plant growth regulating substance selected from indoleacetic acid, alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid and indolebutyric acid and with at least one plant growth regulating substance selected from kinetin, zeatin, dihydrozeatin, benzyladenine and isopentenyladenine. SAIKO (root of Bupleurum falcatum, a kind of Chinese herb drug) can be produced in high efficiency in a short time by this process.</p> |
