MAGNETOSTATIC WAVE RESONATOR

PURPOSE:To reduce production cost by providing the titled resonator with a slab consisting of a magnetic material having two parallel sides and a converter arranged in parallel with said sides and generating excess coupling over a prescribed frequency band. CONSTITUTION:The electromagnetic wave resonator is constituted of forming a dielectric earth plate 52 consisting of a metal-plated aluminium layer, e.g., on one side of an inductive base 51 consisting of sapphire or quartz and forming a converter such as a microstrip 53 on the other side. The base 51 is normally formed with about 250mu thickness T1 and the 2nd base 54 with about 100-150mu thickness T1' is arranged adjacently to the base 51. The slab consisting of a magnetic material such as a YIG film 54 is mounted on a part whose thickness is reduced. The YIG film 54 is usually formed with about 50-100mu thickness T2. A distance D between the nearest end parts of the microstripe 54 and the YIG film 54 is formed so as to be usually less than 100mu and the resonator is constituted so as to generate excess coupling.
