PURPOSE:To enhance raw preservability and thermal color forming properties by providing a thermal recording layer comprising two diazonium salts having specified maximum light absorption wavelengths and a coupler capable of color reactions with the diazonium salts on a base. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid is prepared which comprises, at least, two diazonium salts consisting of compounds having maximum light absorption wavelengths of 410+ or -10nm and 385+ or -10nm and a coupler capable of color reactions with the diazonium salts as essential constituents together with various additives. The coating liquid is applied to a base such as a paper and a synthetic resin film, followed by drying to produce a photo-fixation type thermal recording material. From the viewpoints of raw preservability of the thermal recording material or the like, it is preferable that the two diazonium salts are supported on the base in a microencapsulated state. The coupling component may be resorcine, phloroglucine or the like. |
