<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a heating element for printing from burning by providing a means for compulsorily interrupting a current application control signal by stopping a drive of a counter circuit generating the current application control signal of the thermal element for printing by stopping an input of a clock signal. CONSTITUTION:A counter circuit 1 is set by a counter set signal 3 and set by a clock signal 4, which outputs a current application control signal 6 for a specific time by the clock signal 4 and drives a thermal head 9. Further, though a clock monitor circuit 2 composed of a retriggerable one shot and multi-vibrator does not output a current application disconnect signal 5 while the clock signal 4 is inputted, the current application disconnect signal 5 is outputted when a clock signal 5 is stopped due to any hindrance and current application control signal 6 is stopped to be outputted by the counter circuit 1. Thus, a heating resistor of the thermal head can be protected from burning.</p> |
