摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To directly designate an arbitrary position on a display screen by an operator, by arraying a display picture element and a pressure sensitive element in a shape of a grating on the same picture. CONSTITUTION:Display picture elements 2aa-2mn which are arrayed in a shape of a grating exist on a display screen 1, and in accordance with character information, graphic information, etc., the display picture element concerned is brought to light emission or discolored, by which the character information, the graphic information, etc. are displayed on the display screen. Also, pressure sensitive elements 3aa-3mn which are arrayed in a shape of a grating exist on the display screen 1, and when pressure is applied to an arbitrary position of the screen from the outside, the pressure sensitive element concerned responds. When an operator looks at information displayed on the display screen and designates an arbitrary position on the screen, he applies pressure to the position concerned on the screen with a stick whose tip is pointed, etc. In this case, by detecting which one of the pressure sensitive elements arrayed on the grating has responded to the external pressure, the instructed coordinate position can be detected.</p>
