PURPOSE:To accurately give an alarm for the period of replenishing a toner cartridge by outputting a control signal to perform the alarm operation when the accumulated value which is stored in an addition storage part and is obtained by counting black picture element signals exceeds a preliminarily set reference value. CONSTITUTION:A black picture element generating circuit 1 samples a picture signal 11 by a clock pulse 12 to output a black picture element signal 13 corresponding to the picture signal to be recorded, and a counting part 2 receives an operation signal 14 outputted at the time of subscanning for recording to count the black picture element signal 13 and outputs a counted value signal 15. An addition storage part 3 receives the counted value signal 15 to successively add one to an adding circuit 3a, and the accumulated value is stored in a first register 3b. A comparison detecting part 4 outputs a control signal 16 when the accumulated value stored in the addition storage part 3 reaches the preliminarily set reference value stored in a second register 4b. An alarm part 5 receives the control signal 16 to perform alarm operations such as lamp indication and recording operation stop. |
