PURPOSE:To automatically monitor the property of a liquid without relying on an inspector, by a method wherein light is sent to a light receiving part from a light projecting part in a liquid to be inspected to be spectrally measured in the light receiving part and the photometric result thereof is remotely transmitted to a judge means by a transmitting means. CONSTITUTION:A float container 2 is floated on a liquid 1, and a light projecting part 4 and a light receiving part 5 are protruded from the bottom part of a container 2 in opposed relationship. Light is passed through the liquid from the light projecting part 4 to be received by the light receiving part 5. Then, the light is inputted to a CPU 8 through a diffraction grating 6 and a photodiode array 7 and spectrally measured. The spectral photometric result is transmitted to a remote receiver 12 from a transmitter 9. The receiving signal is compared with the data stored in a memory 14 by a CPU 13 on the receiving side to judge the color and transparency of the liquid. Since the transmitted light in the liquid is spectrally measured and the color and transparency of the liquid are automatically detected, the properties of the liquid can be always monitored in an unmanned state. |
