PURPOSE:To enable an assembly device to perform assembly and positioning in the device with no necessity for using a dummy, by pressing the first yoke in the axial direction to a side of the second yoke thereafter moving the first yoke in the axial direction by a predetermined distance and performing the positioning of the first yoke aligning a hole and a pin. CONSTITUTION:A bottom side yoke 3, placed in a condition that two pins 5a of a cross 5 are previously connected, is fixed onto a bed seat 11, and the rest of two pings 5a of the cross 5 is fitted to a circular hole in an upper side yoke 1 clamped to a pawl 9 of a chuck member 7. And the yoke 1, if it is depressed to the bottom, brings the internal peripheral surface of the circular hole into contact with the peripheral surface of the pin 5a, correcting the displacement of a phase by the centripetal action. Thereafter the yoke 1 is lifted, and the yoke 1, if its lift amount is set to half the difference between diameters of the circular hole and the pin 5a, can be positioned in the center and connected with no displacement of the center if a bearing is inserted. Accordingly, an assembly for using a dummy further the positioning to be performed in the assembly device.
