Pentapeptides of formula I, wherein Z1 = H, CH3 or amidino; R1 = H or alkyl and R2 = H or R1 + R2 = -CH2-CH2-; R3 = m- or P-OII or -alkoxy; B = residue of a (D)-.alpha.-amino acid; R4 = H or alkyl; Z2 = optionally substituted phenyl; and E = .beta.-amino alcohol residue (whereby when Z1 = H or CH3, R4 = C3-4-alkyl) as well as their esters and the acid addition salts and complexes of such peptides and esters. Compounds according to the invention have valuable pharmacological, in particular LHsecretion inhibiting activity.
