PURPOSE:To mass-produce a display cell at a low cost by irradiating a laser to two large-sized substrates on which a display electrode of a plural cell portion is formed, performing the chamfering for each cell, and thereafter, dividing them into each separate cell. CONSTITUTION:A CO2 laser is irradiated to parts 12a-12c corresponding to a corner part of each cell of two large-sized substrates 11 which form a display electrode of a plural cell portion on one face, the parts 12a-12c corresponding to the corner part of each cell are chamfered, and thereafter, a seal agent 13 is applied to a prescribed part of the substrate 11 placed in the lower part, and the other substrate 11 is made to adhere and superposed on said substrate, and hardened sufficiently. Subsequently, a cut line 14 running along a boundary line of each cell is formed on the surface of these two substrates 11, and thereafter, force is operated in the upper and lower directions of the two substrates 11, and they are divided into each cell 15. |
