PURPOSE:To obtain an oil-based cosmetic having excellent spreadability, feeling to the skin, dispersibility of pigment and moisture-retaining effect and free from bleed-out of oil, by compounding an oily component, a branched fatty acid cholesteryl ester and a laminar inorganic silicic acid compound surface- treated with a dialkyl phosphate. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic can be produced by compounding (A) a laminar inorganic silicate compound (e.g. kaolin, sericite or mica) having >=2.0X10<-5>mol./g of acidic point having an acid strength Ho of <=+3.3 and preferably >=1.0X10<-5>mol./g of acidic point having an acid strength Ho of <=+1.2 and treated with a dialkyl phosphate of formula I (R1 and R2 are 14-22C alkyl), (B) an oily component selected from hydrocarbon (e.g. liquid paraffin or squalane) and ester oil (e.g. isopropyl palmitate) which are liquid at normal temperature and (C) a compound of formula II (R is saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group having a total carbon number of 11-23 and having alkyl- substituent group between the carboxyl-bonded site and the center of the main chain). The amounts of the components A, B and C are 10-50wt.% 20-70wt.% and 1-10wt.%, respectively. |
