PURPOSE:To improve resolving power to wavelengths without extending an optical path length by disposing a one-dimensional line sensor as a photodetecting part with inclination at a certain angle to the center of the light dispersed by a dispersing element. CONSTITUTION:The one-dimensional line sensor 3 as the photodetecting part is disposed with the prescribed inclination theta with the center of the light which is dispersed by the dispersing element 2 and has various kinds of energies. The range of the wavelength entering one picture element of the sensor 3 is narrowed and the resolving power to the wavelength is improved if the dispersed light enters the sensor 3 disposed in such a manner. For example, the sensor 3 is disposed apart a distance D from a point A at the angle theta and the measurement is made with the length of D/costheta and the resolving power of D/(d.costheta) while the measurement is heretofore made with the resolving powder of conventional D/d in the wavelength range if the length of the picture element is designated as d, thereby improving the resolving power without extending the optical path length. |
