The method involves the activating of a movement transmission component movably connected to a bearer. The transmission component is also connected to at least one of two grip arms connected to the bearer, and movable relatively to each other. Movement is transmitted to at least one of the two arms so that the gap between them is bridged over, and causes grips attached to the arms to work in conjunction with each other. This involves the one grip to be pushed downwards from a locking position, automatically transferring it to the other grip which is in a position ready to receive.
