PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image without generating ground fogging by forming a developer in such a manner as to have coloring particles contg. a coloring material, white or colorless 1st additive particles and 2nd additive particles having the particle size smaller than the particle size of the 1st additive particles. CONSTITUTION:The developer having the coloring particles contg. the coloring material, the white or colorless 1st additive particles and the 2nd additive particles having the particle size smaller than the particle size of the 1st additive particles is used. More specifically, a mixture composed of the coloring particles and the 1st additive particles is used as the developer and, therefore, the coloring materials can be sufficiently and uniformly electrically charged; in addition, the ground fogging, etc., can be prevented, since the 1st additive particles are white or colorless. Furthermore, the flowability and flocculation resistance of the coloring particles are promoted by incorporating the 2nd additive particles having the particle size smaller than the particle size of the 1st additive particles into the developer.
