<p>PURPOSE:To easily and accurately execute a program timer reservation by sticking a bar code seal in which a prescribed content is printed to a video cassette, reading bar code data in a data reader at the time of inserting the cassette and setting it to a timer recording stand-by mode after detection. CONSTITUTION:The bar code seal 2 is stuck to the upper surface of the video cassette 1, and bar codes 2a-2d showing the channel number, date, start time and an end time of a program to be recorded are printed in parallel on the seal 2. Here, four bar code sensors 11a-11d are provided in the front loading mechanic part of a VTR and signals from respective sensors 11a-11d are respectively waveform-shaped in waveform shaping circuits 12a-12d, are decoded in decoders 13a-13d, and are data-transferred to a timer control part 15. On the other hand, decoder outputs are supervised in a reading termination detection circuit 14, which generates timer recording stand-by signals St at the time of reading termination, transfers the signals St to the control part 15, whereby it automatically sets a system to the timer recording stand-by mode.</p> |
