PURPOSE:To permit exact measurement of the signal waveform in the vertical direction of a measurement signal by amplifying the waveforms of a main sweep signal and sub-sweep signal selectively. CONSTITUTION:The signal to be measured is applied via a trigger amplifier 6 to a signal generator 7 from which the main sweep signal (a) and sweep switch signal (c) are delivered. A signal generator 8 delivers the sub-sweep signal (b) expanding the signal (a) in the time base direction in the delay period assigned from an operation panel. A horizontal deflection amplifier 9 impresses the saw tooth wave signal (d) alternately indicating the signals (a) and (b) by both the signals to a horizontal deflection late 5H of a CRT 5. The signal past the delay circuit 3 is amplified in a differential amplifier circuit 4 to the signal of the different amplification factors corresponding to the signals (a) and (b) by the switching signals (e), (f) from the generator 7. Said signal is impressed to a vertical deflection plate 5. The waveforms of the different amplification factors are, therefore, observed by the switching of the signals (a) and (b).
