PURPOSE:To get rid of any nonconformity due to oblivion of operating an on-off valve, by installing a detent mechanism which transfers the on-off valve alternatively in an open or close state and holds it, and transferring the on-off valve from the open to the close automatically interlocking with speed-up operation from a neutral position of a hydrostatic type continuously variable transmission. CONSTITUTION:At time of moving a machine body by hand pushing, if an operating device 23 of an on-off valve 22 is rotatively operated upward manually, an open state of the on-off valve 22 is kept up by a toggle spring 24 and a contact pin 28, and a bypass passage 19 can be made into the open state. And, when speed-up operation takes place, if a speed change pedal is operated, a support arm 15 makes the operating device 23 in contact with the lower part and thereby an attitude of the operating device 23 is altered, while this downward tilted state is kept up by the toggle spring 24 and the contact pin 29, selecting the on-off valve 22 to the close state side and holding it. Accordingly at the time of machine body traveling, the bypass passage 19 comes into a state of being closed all the time, thus driving force of an engine 1 is efficiently transmitted to the side of a hydraulic motor 21 from a hydraulic pump 20.
