The tester comprises a device stabilising the quantity of water contacting the test piece per unit of time. This is a graduated cylindrical water column with a flexible connecting pipe. To permit rapid intermediate control, the cylinder communicates via the pipe, with the top surface of the test piece acted on by the water pressure.
