PURPOSE:To prevent a cable from being randomly wound on a storage drum and being broken, by arranging a storage drum speed control system, a first- order lag circuit applying a first-order lag signal of a speed set signal and a speed control system in a cable drive device, receiving a signal from the above-mentioned circuit, for computing the speed of the cable drive device. CONSTITUTION:The speeds of a cable drive device and a storage drum are controlled in according with a speed set signal Vs1. the speed of the drum is computed by a speed control system, A therefor. Meanwhile in consideration of a lag in follow-up of the storage drum with respect to the speed set signal Vs1, in the cable drive device a first-order lag filter composed of subtractor 13 and an integrator 14 forming a first-order lag delay circuit B is provided for the speed set signal Vs1. Accordingly, when the storage drum and the cable drive device are driven in association with each other, the cable drive device is driven with a first-order lag with respect to the storage drum, and therefore, those having mechanically different accelerating characteristics may have the same accelerating characteristic so that their speeds are synchronized. That is, it is possible to prevent the cable being slackened and excessively tensed.
