摘要 PURPOSE:To surely enable jumpstarting performable, by constituting a gearshift to be fixed to the specified transmission gear ratio being smaller than the maximum value but larger than the minimum value at a time when an engine is stopped or less than the specified speed to be regarded as a stop. CONSTITUTION:At a control device C, each signal Ne and V out of an engine speed sensor Sb and a car speed sensor Se are successively read in, and when engine speed Ne is less than the speed Ne1 (value smaller in some percentage based on idling speed) being regarded as an engine stopping, an actuator 28 is operated so as to become a transmission gear ratio e1 optimum for jumpstarting. Here, as for the transmission gear ratio optimum for the overrunning clutch drive, it is such a transmission gear ratio smaller than the maximum gear ratio (LOW) but larger than the minimum gear ratio (TOP), that is, it means that transmission gear ratio equivalent to second gear speed or third gear speed of a gearshift vehicle. For this reason, when the jumpstarting takes place, there is no large load so that an engine E is easily started.
