摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To evaluate intrinsic quality of rice, by a method wherein absorbance of near infrared rays of a sample rice is detected to determine a quality evaluation value thereof from the absorbance and a known quality evaluation coefficient value and then, the quality evaluation value is corrected by computation to obtain a quality evaluation value for a specified water content. CONSTITUTION:Sample rice 18 is put into a sample container 17 of a near infrared spectroscopic analyzer. Neat infrared rays are transmitted through a narrow and band pass filter 12 from a light source 10 and turned to near infrared monochroic light with a specified wavelength, which is reflected with a reflector 11 to be incident upon the sample rice 18 and the diffusive reflected light thereof is detected with detectors 14 (14a and 14b) to measure the absorbance of the sample rise 18. It should be noted that a transmission filter 12 suitable for measurement is used according to different value by a known functional test of rice is stored into a memory and the quality of the sample rice 18 is evaluated from this value and the absorbance of the sample rice 18 to be measured. Here, the evaluation of the sample rice 18 is corrected by computation for a specified water content to determine a quality evaluation value thereof to be displayed. Thus, the quantity evaluation value of the sample rice is obtained by computation with the correction for a specified water content thereby enabling accurate evaluation of quality.</p>
