PURPOSE:To obtain a coupler having the anti-diffusivity sufficient to fix said coupler to the dispersed gelatin layer by incorporating a compd. having substituting groups contg. plural numbers of hydrophobic groups, and a hydrophilic group in one molecule, into the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The photographic color coupler contains the compd. which is shown by formula I and has the substituting groups contg. the plural numbers of the hydrophobic groups, and the hydrophilic group in the one molecule. In the formula, Q is a coupler residual group capable of coupling with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine developing agent, A is a substituting group contg. plural numbers of hydrophobic groups, E and F are each a hydrophilic group, (m) is a positive integer, (n1) and (n2) are each 0 or a positive integer, but, (n1) and (n2) are not 0 at the same time. Thus, the coupler has the anti- dispersivity sufficient to fixing the coupler to the dispersed gelatin layer. |
