摘要

PURPOSE:To extend the service life of an electrode and to improve the cutting performance of a thick body by providing the outside nozzle for inert gas flowoff having larger diameter than that of a nozzle at the outside of the inner side nozzle blowing off the inert gas. CONSTITUTION:The mixing of an inert gas and active gas is reduced by providing the outside nozzle 5 for inert gas blowoff having larger diameter than that of a nozzle 2 at the outside of the inner side nozzle 2 blowing off inert gas. Besides, the outside of a plasma flow P blown off from the inner side nozzle 2 can be wrapped by the blow off gas flow Go of the outside nozzle 5 to accelerate the plasma flow P coming into a cut groove 4a thereby. The pouring energy into the deep part of the cut groove 4a is therefore increased. On the other hand, the utilization of generated heat between the inner side nozzle 2 and a base metal 4 is enabled in addition to the increase action of the pouring energy by the inert gas of the inner side nozzle 2 and that of the nozzle 5 to improve cutting performance further. And yet an inner electrode 1 is located under inert gas atm. to enable to extend the service life of the electrode.
