PURPOSE:To enhance the responsiveness by coupling an electrostrictive or piezoelectric driver to a hydraulic cylinder so as to constitute a hydraulic power source, any by connecting the hydraulic power source to a motion designating means. CONSTITUTION:A driver 11 composed of an electrostrictive or piezoelectric element is coupled to a piston 13 in a hydraulic cylinder so as to constitute a hydraulic power source 1 which is then connected to a motion designating means 2 through check valve 15a, 15b, 15'a, 15'b, 16a, 16b, 16'a, 16'b and hydraulic pipes 17a, 17b, 18a, 18b. With this arrangement, since the hydraulic power source 1 is driven by the electrostrictive or piezoelectric element, it is possible to enhance responsiveness.
