PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain a tapered metal slender flat plate for producing raw material of a temple member by forming tapered and reverse tapered flat grooves on two forming rolls and executing the roll-forming working by inserting metal rod. CONSTITUTION:On the upper forming roll 2, the tapered and the reverse tapered flat grooving shapes 3, 4 are sequencely formed to meet to the shape of the temple member to be formed. While rotating the forming rolls 1, 2 mutually toward reverse direction under condition of roll-pressing, metal bar 5 is charged between these rolls, so as to insert into the flat grooving shapes 3, 4. The metal bar 5 is rolled in the shapes 3, 4, to produce the metal slender flat plate 6 having different shape to longitudinal direction. By cutting this at the parts (e), (e') corresponding to the boundary part of the shapes 3, 4, the material having the shape, met to the shape of the temple member.
