PURPOSE:To magnify the magnetic flux passing through a magnetic pole or the change quantity thereof by a magnetic sensor, by fixing a multipole magnetic tape to the outer peripheral surface of a disc-shaped rotor main body or fixing the same inside said main body in opposed relation to the outer peripheral surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 11 is used in combination with a magnetic sensor 1 and constituted of a disc-shaped rotor main body 12 and the multipole magnetic tape 13 fixed to the outer peripheral surface thereof or fixed inside said main body in opposed relation to the outer peripheral surface thereof and having parts alternately inverse in polarity. The tape 13 is embedded in the groove of the main body 12 and a metal tap 14 wider than the tape 13 is engaged with the groove wider than the tape 13 provided on the outer side thereof. Since the tape 13 having parts alternately inverse in polarity is used as mentioned above, the magnetic flux passing through the magnetic pole 5 of the sensor 1 or the change quantity thereof is much as compared with a rotor merely composed of a ferromagnetic body and detection output increases. Since the tape 13 is embedded in the main body 12 on the inner side from the outer peripheral surface thereof, said tape is not delaminated by a mechanical shock and chemically stable and the rotor 11 excellent in durability can be realized.
