This tank of parallelepipedal overall shape and comprising an entry for effluents at its upstream end and a discharge for effluents at its downstream end, is equipped with panels 16 which, being arranged across the tank and occupying its whole width, are made of assimilable carbon, the tank being additionally equipped, in the top part, with a shaft 8 for discharging gases.
