摘要 PURPOSE:To make an optimum EGR rate securable all the time irrespective of a secular change, by finding a deviation of the actual air-fuel ratio to the normal air-fuel one out of the oxygen content detected value, and correcting a fundamental fuel injection quantity and the valve opening quantity of an EGR control valve so as to eliminate the deviation. CONSTITUTION:In this controller, there is provided with a first memory device 90 which stores the fundamental fuel injection quantity conformed to an engine running state, and this fundamental fuel injection quantity is compensated on the basis of an output signal of an oxygen content detector 14, then a fuel injection valve 9 is controlled according to the fuel injection quantity after compensation. Also there is provided with a second memory device 94 which stores the valve opening quantity of an EGR control valve 17 conformed to the engine running state, and this EGR control valve 17 is controlled by an EGR control device 95 according to the valve opening quantity. And, in this case, there is provided with a deviation calculating device 96, finding a deviation of the actual air-fuel ratio to the normal air-fuel ratio out of an output signal of the oxygen content detector 14, and storage contents of these first and second memory devices 90 and 94 are made so as to be corrected in order by a correcting device 97 so as to get rid of this deviation.
