PURPOSE:To increase a speed of response to an actuator as well as to make generating force larger, by forming a form memory alloy element into pipe form, while making a fluid flow in the inner part of this pipelike element, and heating or cooling it. CONSTITUTION:A form memory alloy element is formed into pipe form, and a fluid is made to flow in the inner part of this pipelike element, heating or cooling it. For example, after this form memory alloy element is formed into the pipe form, this pipe element is further formed into coil form, constituting an actuator. And, plural actuators are set up in parallel, while each of them is connected to a bias spring 3 via a movable block 2. In addition, a passage is installed in this movable block 2, and the fluid passed through this passage is circulated to a high temperature tank 5 and a low temperature tank 6 via a fixed block 4 and a solenoid valve 7. With this constitution, the inside of each actuator is set down to both heating and cooling passages, whereby a speed of response is increased while generating force is made larger. |
