PURPOSE:To obtain the titled drawn yarn, having strength, flexibility and flexural modulus of elasticity as filaments for linear suspension or inserting induction, by drawing a modified cross-section yarn of a crystalline thermoplastic resin under specific condition, drawing and heat-setting the drawn yarn. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin having >=10%, preferably >=15% crystalline state at ordinary temperature is melt spun through a discharging outlet of modified cross section and then drawn at a temperature of the second-order transition point-50 deg.C higher than that at 20-500% draw ratio. The drawn yarn is subsequently drawn and heat-set at 70-250 deg.C temperature at 20-600% draw ratio to afford the aimed filament yarn having desired properties and performances.
