PURPOSE:To speed up the correction of a source program by editing advice information analyzing a coding miss such as a bug and departure from rules included in the source program and outputting the edited result to a specified destination. CONSTITUTION:A user requiring the offer of advice information selects whether the advice information 2 from an input means 1 is outputted to an output means 4a consisting of a display device or an output means 4b consisting of a printer to start an advice information editing means 3. The started editing means 3 reads in the advice information 2 and decides whether the output destination of the advice information 2 specified by the input means 2 is the output means 4a or 4b. When the output destination is the output means 4a, the means 3 displays colors consisting of red, yellow, blue, etc., in the order of the importance of the advice information 2 by recognizing color control characters included in respective records of the advice information 2.
