The printer control system proposed here for a printer which is connected to an information-processing unit exhibits: means for forming a visible image on a sheet medium, first storage means for storing a first program for deciphering instructions which are obtained from the information-processing unit, for operating the image generating means in accordance with these instructions, second storage means for storing a second program for converting the information obtained from the information-processing unit into that which can be deciphered from the first storage means, and control means for executing the first and second program for controlling the operation of the printer, the first and the second program being executed in controlled time sequences.
