<p>PURPOSE:To enable high-density cell culture with high removal efficiency of by produced waste material by allowing the cells to adhere to a plurality of permeable hollow fibers on their outer surfaces and sending the culture mixture into the hollow fibers as the properties of the adhering solution is varied with the passage of time. CONSTITUTION:A cell suspension is fed from the inlet 5 into the cell cultivator 1 and allowed to adhere to the outer surfaces of the hollow fibers 2. Then, the culture mixture is fed from the inlet 7 into the hollow fibers 2 and made to flow out of the outlet 9. The flexible and elastic tube fitted to the outlet 9 is pinched with a nipper and the pinching pressure is controlled with the diameter controller 15 so that the tube is periodically controlled to an appropriate diameter. Thus, the culture mixture is fed, as the pressure is varied with passage of time, recovered from the outlet 9 and recycled.</p> |
