PURPOSE:The titled composition which does not substantially affect flexibility which is the greatest characteristic of a corrugated pipe, comprising a mixture of (i) a base containing an epoxy resin and (ii) an amine type curing agent containing a specified polybutadiene oligomer. CONSTITUTION:A based (A) is formed from 45-95wt% epoxy resin and 55- 5wt% carboxyl group-terminated butadiene/acrylonitrile copolymer, MW of 490- 580, of formula I (wherein x is 1-10; y is 1-10; and z is 1-10). A curing agent (B) is formed from 15-80% (based on the number of equivalents on the side of the base) polybutadiene oligomer, MW of 2,000-3,000, of formula II (wherein m is 1-4, and n is 10-20), and 85-20% (based on the number of equivalents on the side of the base) amine type curing agent other than the above (e.g., a modified polyamine of formula III). The titled composition is prepared by mixing the base (component A) with the curing agent (component B). |
