PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration of S/N due to the electric charge generated by no light emitted from an image pickup element by producing the 1st and 2nd synchronizing signals having a phase difference corresponding to the shutter speed to drive the image pickup element with the 1st synchronizing signal in a pick-up mode and with the 2nd synchronizing signal in a record mode respectively. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing signal (f) has the same frequency as a synchronizing signal (e) with a phase slower by theta than the signal (e). The value theta corresponds to the shutter speed t1. In the case of t1<t3 (revolving cycle of a recording medium 11), the electric charge generated with no light of a CCD4 is swept synchronously with the signal (e) until a release button 9 is pushed. Then a shutter 3 is opened by a release for time t1 synchronously with the signal (e), and the sweep is discontinued. Then a subject 1 is formed to the CCD4. The CCD4 is driven by the signal (f) after the shutter 3 is closed, and the stored charge is swept and converted into a video signal in real time by a picture processing circuit 5. This video signal is successively recorded in time t3 to a recording medium 11 which revolves synchronously with the signal (f) through a recording circuit 6. The above-mentioned procedure is available also in the case of t1>t3. That is, the subject is immediately recorded to a recording medium after it is formed into an image. |
