In the case of an installation box which can be mounted in a breastwork channel, is open at the front and has two holders which are arranged at the mouth side, are directed in opposite direction with respect to one another and are intended for latching into grooves in the front side of the breastwork channel, specific coupling devices being arranged on those sides of the installation box directly transversely with respect to the longitudinal extent of the breastwork channel, for connection of identical installation elements, in order to create possibilities for protection of the electrical installation apparatuses against overvoltages, an overvoltage protection device module block (2) is provided which can be coupled to an installation box (1), is provided with an integrated, optical signalling device and has coupling elements (4', 5') which are matched laterally to the coupling elements (4, 5) of the installation box (1). In addition, an apparatus shutter is provided which is matched to the module box (2), engages on the breastwork channel and has at least one window which is arranged such that it is opposite the signalling device (8) of the module block (2). <IMAGE>
