PURPOSE:To easily eject absorbed air bubbles to the outside through a continued passage and prevent deterioration of ejection properties due to air bubbles by interconnecting the rear edge area of an ink cell to a pressure propagation path through an orifice and other one or a plurality of continued passages. CONSTITUTION:An ink is absorbed into a pressure propagation path 13 from an ink cell 12 through an orifice 11 and communicating paths 17, 18 located above and below the orifice by a negative pressure generated in a pressure chamber 14 immediately after ejection of ink droplets. Air bubbles are sometimes absorbed with the ink into a pressure propagation path 13. These air bubbles move by buoyancy to the top of the pressure propagation path 13 and are easily ejected to the exterior of the pressure propagation path 13 through the continued path 17 formed at the top, when ink jet heads are so arranged that the pressure propagation path 13 may be in a level state. Subsequently, deterioration of ejection properties due to the absorption of air bubbles is effectively avoided. |
