A mounting plate (12) includes a lock loop (14) to cooperate with a wedge-shape locking section of the stanchion, for securing the two together. The mounting plate has a rest (16) for the lower end of the stanchion, the rest having recesses or apertures (17) or projections (18) to cooperate with corresponding apertures or projections at the stanchion lower end. The mounting plate also has longitudinal side gables (13) between which the lower part of the stanchion is received and laterally guided. |
