PURPOSE:To enable such sheet feeding that pressure can be appropriately controlled irrespective of the thickness of a sheet, by providing a biasing force generating means for applying a pressure to a feeding roller pressed against a platen and driven to rotate, and a means capable of controlling the biasing force. CONSTITUTION:A hook part 23 is provided at a tip part of a turnable lever 21 capable of being turned around a shaft pin 22, and a tension spring 11 is fitted between the hook part 23 and a second lever 8. A cam shaft 23 has a cam part 24A in the same D shape as that of a cam shaft 12 for releasing a feeding roller. The cam shaft 24 is connected to a control lever (not shown) capable of being manually operated, through a lever link. When the cam shaft 24 is rotated in the direction of an arrow G by the control lever, the turnable lever 21 is turned by the cam part 24A, whereby the spring 11 can be lowered to increase a spring force. As a biasing force generating means, an elastic member may be used in place of the spring. |
