PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer recording image having high image quality, by forming a recording material impregnated with ink from a plurality of porous layers with the diameter in a surface layer being shorter than that of an inner layer, thereby forming an ink image passing through the surface layer from micro ink dots. CONSTITUTION:A recording material 2 is rotated in the direction of an arrow (a) synchronously with the carriage of a recording paper 7 so as to send a recording image signal to a recording head 5 synchronously with the rotation. Consequently, a heating element 5b is heated corresponding to the signal so as to heat the surface of the recording material 2 at a contacting portion B selectively. Heat is transmitted from the outer layer 2b to the inner layer 2a of the recording material 2, and an in having reduced viscosity permeates through the outer layer 2b. Since the hole in the outer layer 2b has diameter smaller than that of the hole in the inner layer 2a, an ink image 22 composed of micro ink dots is formed on the outer layer 2b corresponding to the heating. The ink image 22 moves as the recording material 2 rotates and reaches a pressure contacting portion A where it is transferred onto a recording paper 7 which is carried synchronously and pressed thereto, thus performing a recording of a clear image onto the recording paper 7. |
