摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the absorption of light even in the near IR region by using a specified arom. diazonium salt. CONSTITUTION:This optical recording material is a photosensitive recording and memory medium enabling readout with semiconductor laser and the recording layer contains an arom. diazonium salt capable of undergoing a photolytic reaction and a coupling reaction and a coupler capable of reacting with the salt. The salt is represented by formula I (where R1 is H, a group represented by formula II or the like, each of R2-R5 is H, alkyl, halogen or the like, M is Fe, Zn or the like, X is F or Cl, (m) is the net electric charge of a halide complex ion and (n) is the number of halogen atoms in a Lewis acid compd. released by irradiation with active rays. The coupler may be a compd. represented by formula III (where R7 is alkyl, halogen, nitro or the like). Light energy is radiated on the whole surface of the recording layer through a mask having a recording pattern and the layer is developed with a basic substance. Laser light or the like is then radiated and the difference in the intensity of reflected light is measured to reproduce the record.
