PURPOSE:To obtain a material, containing at least one selected from adamantyl group-containing acrylic acid ester copolymers, phosphoric acid ester derivatives and silicon derivatives of adamantane as a base material and having excellent mechanical characteristics and water resistance. CONSTITUTION:A dental material, containing at least one selected from (A) copolymers containing units expressed by formula I (R<1> is H or 1-3C alkyl) and units expressed by formula II (R<2>-R<5> are H or 1-3C alkyl; n is 0-4) as repeating units, (B) compounds, having a basic skeleton of adamantane and a substituent group expressed by formula III (R<6> and R<7> are H, CH3 or C2H5; g is 1-3; h is 1-4) or formula IV (R<8>, R<9>, R<11> and R<12> are H, CH3 or C2H5; R<10> is H or 1-4C alkyl) and (C) compounds, having basic skeleton of adamantane and a substituent group expressed by formula V (R<13> is H or 1-3C alkyl; R<14> and R<15> are 1-3C alkyl; l is 0-2), having excellent water and hydrolytic resistance and useful as cementers, adhesives, fillers, etc.
