PURPOSE:To obtain the titled coating, capable of sufficiently withstanding high temperatures (about 1,000 deg.C) and having excellent handleability and heat shock characteristics, by dissolving or dispersing a polycarbosilane resin, etc., and inorganic filler in an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:The aimed coating obtained by dissolving or dispersing (A) 100pts.wt. one or more selected from polycarbosilane resins, polysilastyrene resins, polytitanocarbosilane resins and polysilazane resins, (B) preferably 5-500 pts.wt. inorganic filler (e.g. metal, ceramics or glass) and preferably further (C) silicone resin and/or heat-resistant synthetic resin containing nitrogen- containing heterocyclic rings in the molecule in an organic solvent.
