Burst-proof valve

Pilot-controlled check valve having a burst-proof system built in the valve stem (19), particularly for pressure vessels (35). The valve stem (19) consists only of two components, a guide element (18) and a valve closure member (17) between which a tearing element (26) can be inserted. During assembly, the previously bent-open retaining ring (23) on the guide element (18) is pressed against the top (25) of the valve closure member (17). The tearing element (26) is retained by a constant clamping force and seals the burst channel (24, 29, 32). The discharge port (43) has a favourable flow design and is particularly suitable for the temporary relief of high pressure surges, as are necessary with pneumatic impact tools. <IMAGE>
