The invention relates to a perforator base part (1), which is composed of a baseplate (3) which forms a punching die and has edge strips (4) which extend downwards, and of two lateral bearing blocks (5) which extend upwards from the baseplate (3) and have guides (7a, 7b) for piercing punches (9) and bearings (11) for a pressure lever (12) which interacts with the piercing punches (9), between the piercing punch guides (7b) and the baseplate (3) there being formed a gap (13) to permit introduction of the items to be perforated and each bearing block (5) having a side wall (6) which is connected to the edge strips (4) by means of a holding bracket (21) which extends downwards parallel to the edge strips (4) of the baseplate (3). The holding brackets (21) are formed by extensions of the side walls (6), are guided through recesses (22) in the baseplate (3) and are in each case connected to the edge strip (4) in their region adjacent to the latter. <IMAGE>
