PURPOSE:To permit easy change of the resonance frequency of a scanner by fixing holding members of torsional bar springs which hold a scanning mirror to a frame body adjustably axially in position. CONSTITUTION:The torsional bar springs 2 are connected to both sides of the scanning mirror 1 for rays and the outside end parts of the respective springs 2 are fixed to opposite supporting plates on the outside of the outside frame 3. The middle parts of the springs 2 are inserted into holes 5a of the holding members 5 by which the torsion thereof is controlled. The members 5 are inserted into opposite supporting plates 6 on the inside of the frame 3 and are fixed thereto by set screws 7 adjustably axially in position. An operator moves the members 5 axially after loosening the screws 7 and adjusts the length of the springs 2 with the end of the mirror 1 and the members 5. The members 5 are again fixed to the plates 6 by the screws 7 after the adjustment. The easy change of the resonance conditions is thus permitted by changing the spring constants of the springs 2 in such a manner.
