PURPOSE:To obtain a perfume composition, containing (8Z,11Z)-heptadecadienal and useful for aromatizing or flavoring foods, cosmetics, etc., or improving and enhancing aroma or flavor thereof. CONSTITUTION:A perfume composition obtained by containing a compound, expressed by the formula and having strong aroma and flavor impressing freshness of fresh cucumbers and marine products as well as aroma suggesting Japanese iris, violet and citrus. For example, 0.05-1% compound can be added to a perfume composition for fruits to remember freshness of fruit juice. For the same purpose of as a modifier, 0.01-1% compound is added to a perfume composition for soap or shampoo. |
